Swedish PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra has inked an agreement with a public Norwegian hospital chain.
The Linköping-based vendor will implement a central sharing system for all radiology images produced in a region with a population of 1.5 million Norwegians. The four hospitals in the region perform a total of 700,000 radiology examinations a year.
Sectra will connect the image management systems from three different vendors in use at the hospitals' radiology departments, according to the firm. Tight integration will be provided to the enterprisewide electronic patient record.
