Swedish PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra has sold its first SyMRI software suite to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Bern in Switzerland.
The MR software will be used to enhance quality in conjunction with virtual autopsies, according to the Linköping-based vendor. The institution is the first among a handful of pilot customers to purchase the workflow analysis software, which is used with Sectra's PACS workstations.
SyMRI is designed to reduce the time required per patient for MRI exams, and it can also quantify and identify tissue as well as determine its volume, Sectra said.
