Radiotherapy and radioisotope developer Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products of Berlin has received an order through its Belgian subsidiary IBt Bebig (International Brachytherapy).
Over the next three years, the company will deliver miniature implants typically used to treat early-stage prostate cancer to specialized hospitals in Angers, Caen, Nice, Strasbourg, and Rouen, France. The multimillion-euro contract also will supply Institut Curie in Paris.
The hospitals are part of Fédération Nationale des Centres de Lutte Contre le Cancer, a consortium of 20 French cancer research centers.
