GE Healthcare has begun installations of its Optima MR450w 1.5-tesla wide-bore MR scanner in the U.S. and Europe.
St. Rose Dominican Hospitals in Henderson, NV, received the first system in the U.S., while GIE IRM Creil in Creil, France, was the recipient of the first unit in Europe. The Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor said it has received more than 100 orders worldwide for Optima MR450w; additional installations are ongoing.
