Boosted by more revenue from its digital mammography business, medical imaging software developer MeVis Medical Solutions of Bremen, Germany, grew revenues and earnings in 2009.
Revenue increased 28% to 13.9 million euros ($18 million U.S.) in 2009, compared with 10.8 million euros ($14 million) in 2008. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) more than doubled to 1.6 million euros ($2 million) in 2009, compared with 700,000 euros ($910,000) in 2008.
The growth in revenue was largely due to the company's profitable digital mammography business, which tallied revenue of 10.1 million euros last year ($13.4 million), compared with 6.9 million euros ($9.2 million) in 2008.
