Visbion signs U.K. contract

PACS vendor Visbion of Bisley, U.K., has been awarded a contract to provide its Image Cube technology to British managed imaging services provider Alliance Medical.

Visbion Image Cube software has been installed on Alliance's mobile coaches to connect them with hospital RIS/PACS networks for the transfer of images and modality worklists.

Images are received from any standard modality in DICOM 3.0 format. The Image Cube then caches the images, prior to compressing them in a lossless fashion, and transmits them in secure encrypted format to their destination.
