GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and Intel of Santa Clara, CA, have expanded their sales and marketing agreement for the Intel Health Guide remote patient monitoring system to include the U.K.
Intel Health Guide is designed for healthcare professionals who manage patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and heart failure. GE currently markets Intel Health Guide in the U.S.
The system combines an in-home patient device with an online interface to allow clinicians to monitor patients in their homes and manage care remotely. It also collects patients' vital signs and provides reminders and communication tools, such as video conferencing and alerts.
