PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra of Linköping, Sweden, has won a contract to expand its PACS network in a Swedish public hospital system.
Region Skåne will deploy Sectra's PACS software at hospitals in Ystad, Trelleborg, Ängelholm, Kristianstad, Hässleholm, and Helsingborg in southern Sweden. The expansion complements an agreement between Sectra and Region Skåne signed in 2008 that initially covered Malmö University Hospital and Lund University Hospital.
More than 900,000 radiology examinations are performed in Region Skåne each year.
