Ziehm, Stryker integrate technologies

Through the joint development of the NaviPort 3D interface, C-arm developer Ziehm Imaging of Nuremberg, Germany, and Stryker Imaging of Flower Mound, TX, have imported Ziehm's 2D and 3D C-arm image data into Stryker's infrared navigation systems.

Stryker now will support image import from Ziehm Imaging's new Ziehm Vision FD Vario 3D system. The flat-panel digital C-arm targets minimally invasive orthopedic, trauma, and spinal surgery applications.

The first installation of the combined technologies will be at University Medical Center in Freiburg, Germany.
