Eckert & Ziegler on 20 August inaugurated its new 1,700 square meter facilities in Dresden, Germany. The opening had about 200 guests and was attended by the Saxon State Ministers Martin Dulig and Thomas Schmidt as well as the Mayor of Dresden, Dirk Hilbert.
The Dresden-Rossendorf site produces and delivers radiopharmaceuticals worldwide and provides services for the handling and disposal of radioactive products in cancer medicine. Eckert & Ziegler is investing up to €50 million to expand the production site.
The company said that the new buildings are the basis for its further expansion, with the goal of creating a foundation for employment of up to 100 additional highly qualified staff in plant engineering and radiopharmacy in Saxony.
