The rollout of lung cancer screening across Europe and the growing clinical applications of AI in thoracic imaging will be dominant themes at ECR 2024, according to leading expert Prof. Marie-Pierre Revel, PhD.
In a video interview, she provided an update on the CASCADE study (Lung Cancer Screening in French women using low-dose CT and AI for DEtection) and spoke about improving knowledge and female participation in lung cancer screening.
Revel is head of radiology at Hôpital Cochin in Paris and former president of the European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI). She is chair of the ESR’s Communication and External Affairs Committee.
