VIENNA – We're all guilty of making small talk at ECR by asking friends and colleagues about their trip to Vienna. In the case of Dr. Uliana Pidvalna, PhD, from Lviv, and her 130 Ukrainian colleagues at the congress, it was an 800-plus km bus ride that took 22 hours or more.
We caught up with Pidvalna to find out about how her daily life has changed since the Russian invasion two years ago. She also spoke about her poster presentation at ECR 2024, "Fellowship in challenging times: Proceed or Pause," the session on European Radiology she organized at the 2023 Ukrainian national congress of radiology, and her family's hopes and plans for the months to come.
