The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are collaborating to promote the education and use of diagnostic imaging in Europe.
The two organizations this week signed an agreement to advance education and imaging capacity by engaging the participation of both radiologists and referring physicians. Their goals are designed to elevate the organizations' longstanding relations to a more formal and expand opportunities in the field of medical imaging.
The two organizations are planning a series of webinars, sponsored participation in ESR-organized training courses for healthcare professionals from low- and middle-income countries, and the development of e-learning materials. The focus will include hybrid imaging modalities such as PET/CT and PET/MRI.
