Image processing and PACS firm OR Technology plans to present a new version of its acquisition software for x-ray images at this year's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.
DicomPACS DX-R version 2.2 provides accelerated image processing, and image data are now evaluated simultaneously on all the cores of the processor available, according to OR Technology.
The software also features the Modality Performed Procedure Step (MPPS) DICOM service class, which optimizes workflow by informing the worklist server (HIS/RIS) of the start and finish of an examination. Finally, the new software version also supports the Storage Commitment DICOM service class, which allows DICOM units to obtain confirmation that the data transmitted were safely stored in the archive.
