The German Röntgen Society (DRG) has announced that next year's German Radiology Congress (RöKo) will not be held as an in-person event in Wiesbaden, as originally planned. Instead, the event will again be a virtual meeting, according to a statement issued by Prof. Gerald Antoch (DRG president) and Prof. Thomas Vogl (congress president).

The DRG's board of directors made the decision because there was no reliable forecast with regards to the further development of the COVID-19 pandemic that would make a traditional congress likely next year, according to the society. RöKo 2021 will be a digital meeting, as well as interactive and multimedia, the DRG said.
