ESR gets set to award 4,500 euros to top editorial fellow

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is now accepting applications for the Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellowship in 2019. The successful candidate will receive 4,500 euros to cover expenses and free registration for ECR 2019.

Offered by the European Radiology Private Foundation, the editorial fellowship aims to provide training in editorial skills, such as manuscript evaluation and editing, organization of peer review, manuscript production, and publishing -- including electronic publication, according to the ESR. For the first time, the fellowship will be divided into two parts: an onsite program and remote training.

The successful candidates in the past were: Dr. Jurgen Runge (Amsterdam) in 2018, Dr. Yaou Liu (Beijing) in 2017, Dr. Ahmed Othman (Tübingen, Germany) in 2016, Dr. Ryan Shulman (Southport, Australia) in 2015, and Dr. Giulia Zamboni (Verona, Italy) in 2014.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2018. Candidates still in training or under the age of 35 are preferred. More information is available on the ESR's website.
