The U.K. Radiological and Radiation Oncology Congress (UKRCO) plans to address the issue of patient understanding and consent about radiological interventions and procedures at its upcoming meeting on 2-4 July in Liverpool.
Dr. Paul McCoubrie of North Bristol National Health Service Trust (NHS) will chair a session called "Knowledge: How much is too much?" Session panelists will include Daniel Sokol, an attorney and medical ethicist. Sokol writes a regular column for BMJ on ethicolegal issues.
UKRCO is organized by the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR), the British Institute of Radiology (BIR), and the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM).
