The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has centered the April issue of its journal Clinical Radiology on breast screening and the future of breast imaging in the U.K.
In light of the 30th anniversary of the National Health Service (NHS) Breast Screening Program, the journal includes research covering personalized breast cancer screening, the importance of breast density in imaging quality, breast tomosynthesis, overdiagnosis and active surveillance, and the collection of individual clinical performance metrics.
Breast radiologist Dr. Nishma Sharma, secretary of the British Society of Breast Radiology, edited this special issue of the journal, which the RCR has already distributed to members and fellows.
