The Association of Imaging Producers & Equipment Suppliers (AIPES) launched a new animated video for patients scheduled to undergo follow-up PET/CT scans for prostate cancer.
The video was developed to explain the PET/CT procedure for prostate cancer patients and their families, and it is part of a campaign aimed at raising awareness of the role of PET/CT imaging in the diagnosis and prognosis of recurrent disease.
With the organization's collaboration with prostate cancer coalition Europa Uomo, the video will be made available to many patients throughout Europe who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. To view the video, which is available in several languages, click here.
The organization plans to develop another video on early detection of prostate cancer that will be available later this year.
