Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Europe has secured a national partnership agreement with Netics to assess the level of electronic medical record (EMR) adoption among Italian healthcare organizations.
HIMSS Europe said it will work with Netics to provide its Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM), which tracks the progress of healthcare organizations toward achieving a paperless patient record environment. In the early stages of the partnership, acute public and private hospitals across Italy will complete the EMRAM survey. This will enable chief information officers (CIOs) to compare their digital maturity with their peers and to strategize their path to a complete EMR, according to HIMSS Europe.
