With the new year comes enforcement of new codes for conduct between companies and healthcare providers, promulgated by the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR).
COCIR's guidelines contain guidance on topics such as public procurement of medical technology, industry support of third-party conferences, provision of educational grants, and interactions with independent third parties. It is available in six languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
An interactive e-learning tool soon will be available in those languages to improve knowledge and understanding of the key principles contained in the codes.
