The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is lauding a report from the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) on protecting resources within the National Health Service (NHS).
The report, "Protecting resources, promoting value: A doctor's guide to cutting waste in clinical care," includes radiology and chemotherapy among sixteen areas of clinical practice that could contribute to the NHS's efficiency savings, according to the RCR.
In fact, the Royal College of Radiologists has published guidelines on appropriate imaging tests for patients for more than 20 years through its iRefer tool, the RCR said.
