Former Bush administration Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, PhD, will be a featured plenary speaker at the RSNA 2013 meeting, according to the Oak Brook, IL, society.
Rice is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, December 3, at 1:30 p.m. in the Arie Crown Theater of McCormick Place in Chicago. Her lecture, titled "Mobilizing Human Potential," will draw upon her vast international experience, according to Linda Brooks, RSNA's senior manager of media relations.
RSNA is drawing an increasingly international audience in both membership and conference attendance, and the organization is looking to highlight plenary speakers for its meeting that "ignite discussion and collaboration beyond a strictly scientific focus." Rice is a colleague of RSNA President Dr. Sarah Donaldson, which gives the organization the opportunity to provide attendees with an internationally recognized speaker who will offer perspectives from outside the radiology community, RSNA said.
In 2010, former President Bill Clinton delivered a plenary address to RSNA attendees, discussing the Clinton Health Access Initiative and other topics.
Rice's talk will be ticketed in the same manner as other courses and events at RSNA 2013.
