The European Society of Radiology (ESR), the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) are joining forces to sponsor the first annual International Day of Radiology.
The initial International Day of Radiology will be held on 8 November, marking the 117th anniversary of the discovery of the x-ray and the advances in patient care made possible by radiation therapy and medical imaging exams, according to ACR and RSNA.
A total of 79 societies are already participating in the event, and the number is still growing, noted a spokesperson from the ESR. These participants include 29 European national societies and 12 European subspecialty and allied sciences societies. More information can be found here.
