Hitachi Medical Systems Europe and Pentax Europe have joined forces to develop an endoscopic ultrasound system.
They are launching EB19-J10U, a new ultrasound video bronchoscope for endobronchial ultrasound. The unit will visualize the airway wall, surrounding lymph nodes, and adjacent structures in fully digital high-definition video and 100% color charged-coupled device (CCD) chip in the tip technology.
Hitachi's multilayered Crystal Technology will allow for transmission and reception of the ultrasound pulse with minimal energy loss, the firms said. EB19-J10U has high resolution and clear images with improved sensitivity, tissue differentiation from near field to deep areas, and needle visualization supporting effective tissue sampling.
