Siemens Healthineers has received the European CE Mark for clinical use of its 7-tesla Magnetom Terra MRI scanner.
Clinicians will able to use the ultrahigh-field MRI scanner for neurological and musculoskeletal scans in routine clinical applications. With enhanced views of metabolic processes in the brain, the 7-tesla system is expected to aid in the visualization of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.
Magnetom Terra also features dual-mode functionality to switch between the clinical protocols and innovative research methods, as well as extend into whole-body imaging applications.
