Ulrich Medical will debut two new MRI contrast media injectors with syringeless technology at the RSNA 2016 meeting later this month in Chicago.
The new MRI contrast media injectors Max 3 and Max 2M inject directly from the conventional media containers, without the use of a syringe and requires only 30 seconds for a patient changeover. Also, the CM-Loop allows continuous work, because the injector automatically switches from an empty to the second full container, without loss of contrast medium. In addition, the need to draw up syringe pistons is eliminated, the firm said.
The devices are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or available for sale in the U.S.
