Toshiba Medical Systems is unveiling a new premium ultrasound system for women's health at this week's World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Rome.
Toshiba's Aplio i-series combines high image quality with advanced clinical applications, while increasing workflow and productivity, Toshiba said. The scanner offers simplified controls, a visual guided user interface, and automated image optimization features to boost productivity, even during complex exams, it added.
New iBeam-forming architecture offers enhanced image quality due to sharper and more homogeneous image beams, the company said. In addition, newly developed ultrawide band transducers for the Aplio i-series utilize the firm's intelligent Dynamic Micro-slicing (iDMS) and new beam-forming technologies such as iBeam.
