Swiss detector developer Dectris is introducing a new hybrid photon-counting detector series, Pilatus3 X CdTe.
The detectors offer high count-rate capability and quantum efficiency -- from 15 to 100 keV -- and can record up to 500 images per second, the company said.
The detectors are available in four sizes: 300K, 300K-W, 1M, and 2M. The company plans to begin delivering the devices in summer 2015.
