PACS and image processing firm OR Technology has debuted its dicomPACS MobileView browser-based mobile image viewer.
Suitable for use on network PCs as well as on mobile terminals such as the iPad, MobileView offers platform- and browser-independent image viewing and streaming technology for fast image uploads, according to the vendor. A number of viewing functions are available for mobile devices, including image comparison by selecting different grids, OR Technology said.
Brightness can be adjusted, and users can also enlarge, reduce, rotate, or mirror images. In addition, users can scroll through image series and perform cine loops in multiframe series and CT/MR studies, according to the company. MobileView connects directly with the dicomPACS database, and a network connection enables worldwide access to all images.
Licensing is offered via a simultaneous user licensing model, which allows a fixed number of users to log in simultaneously, according to OR Technology. Optional image management capability can be provided through the vendor's dicomPACS offering.
