Carestream Health has announced that a new version of its Image Suite software, a computed radiography (CR) image acquisition and optional miniPACS, is now available for purchase for delivery in October.
The software package offers fully featured image acquisition, Web-based patient scheduling, image review and reporting, and archiving. It is designed particularly for use in urgent care clinics, imaging centers, and the offices of physician practices.
The latest version of Image Suite software includes an enhanced set of tools designed to streamline workflow and improve image quality, according to Carestream. New capabilities include long-length imaging with automatic or manual stitching, sample reference images to provide positioning guidance, and specialty measurement tools, including Lippman-Cobb angle, goniometry, and coxometry. Mammography applications are supported, except in the U.S.
The Image Suite software can be packaged with Carestream's Directview Classic CR or its Directview Vita family of CR systems.
The optional miniPACS module enables users to manipulate raw image data and make window/level adjustments of a preprocessed image. It includes reporting software and can provide DICOM storage for CT, MRI, and ultrasound exams, as well as digital radiographs.
