Ultrasound vendor Esaote has launched a new addition to its MyLab line of ultrasound systems, MyLabAlpha, at this week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The portable, ergonomic system is built on Esaote's new Productivity-Oriented Platform (POP), designed to deliver improved system and user performance, ergonomic design, mobility, and connectivity. It features a simple and user-friendly interface, a wide LCD high-definition display screen, and a touchscreen that features Esaote's e-touch technology, which provides fast access to personal settings, complex functions, annotations, and measurements performed during an exam.
The system's connectivity technology includes wireless networking and full DICOM and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) compliance. Esaote's MyLabDesk software also is available to allow users to archive, review, postprocess, and print exams from a PC for increased productivity.
