Radiation therapy software developer RaySearch Laboratories produced a 3.6% increase in revenue and a slightly higher loss after tax in its second quarter.
For the period (end-30 June), RaySearch had net sales of 160.2 million Swedish kronor (15 million euros), compared with net sales of 154.6 million kronor (14.5 million euros) in the second quarter of 2021. The company had a loss after tax of 19.7 million kronor (1.8 million euros), compared with a loss after tax of 16.5 million kronor (1.5 million euros) in the same period last year.
In developments after the quarter ended, RaySearch said it has received a treatment planning system tender from the University of New Mexico in the U.S. In addition, the company has secured an order from Harris Health System in the U.S. for its RayStation software and an order from Seoul National University Hospital for its RayCare oncology information system. These orders are worth an aggregate value of 41.3 million kronor (3.9 million euros), according to the vendor.
RaySearch has also appointed Henrik Bergentoft as chief financial officer, effective 15 November.
