Radiation therapy software developer RaySearch Laboratories has secured a $2.2 million (1.85 million euros) contract with Vaudois University Hospital Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, for its RayStation, RayCare, and RayIntelligence systems.

The hospital is the first to purchase RayIntelligence, according to RaySearch.

Also a part of the arrangement is automated treatment planning and segmentation using machine-learning techniques. The hospital will become one of the first centers to adopt RayStation's planning functionality for the Accuray CyberKnife, the firm said.

Along with the new installations, Vaudois University Hospital Center is replacing its existing oncology information system with RaySearch's RayCare. It plans to work with RaySearch on treatment optimization, operational efficiency, and flash radiotherapy.
