Canon Medical Systems has installed its first Aquilion One Prism Edition CT scanner in the U.K.
Warrington Hospital, part of Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is the new home of the first scanner, according to Canon. Aquilion One Prism Edition features the company's Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE), which utilizes deep-learning reconstruction technology.
The scanner also includes a CT fluoroscopy interface, as well as a 16 cm wide-area detector that enables images of the entire heart to be acquired in a single rotation in a fraction of a second, Canon said.
