Canon buys magnetic field-monitoring firm

Canon Medical Systems has purchased Skope Magnetic Resonance Technologies, a Swiss developer of magnetic field-monitoring systems and image reconstruction software.

In announcing the deal, Canon highlighted Skope's research and development capabilities in MRI sensorics, signal processing, and image reconstruction. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
