The University of Szeged in Hungary will use an investment of 300 million forints (922,000 euros), co-funded by the European Union, to develop a new medical 3D printing center, according to a recent article on TheMayor.eu.
The facility will be dedicated to researching medical applications of 3D printing as well as expanding the use of 3D printing among investigators, project manager Ferenc Bari said in a statement. The center's goals include using 3D printing technology to create metal- and polymer-based medical devices, print biological tissues, and explore joint cartilage replacement.
