French portable ultrasound developer Sonoscanner is the winner of an international bid to supply all of Sweden's major hospitals with its portable ultrasound system.
The award for Sonoscanner's U-Lite comes after the device successfully outperformed its competition in evaluations for emergency medicine, medical imaging consultations, and interventional procedures.
Hospital installations in the coming months will include Sahlgrenska Gothenburg, Sahlgrenska Mölndal, Sahlgrenska Üstra, Kungälv, Uddevalla, Trollhättan, Borås, Alingsås, Lidköping, and Skövde.
The U-Lite will be used in a variety of settings, including in emergency response vehicles to diagnose patients during transport.
