Canon Medical Systems Europe has installed its Aquilion One Genesis CT scanner at Croydon University Hospital in South London.
The device is the fastest CT scanner in the National Health Service (NHS) with 135-millisecond scanning of the heart in half a gantry rotation, according to Canon. It includes laser collimation tools that eliminate the need for a scanogram for imaging planning, which lowers radiation dose and shortens setup time, the company said.
