GE Healthcare has appointed Catherine Estrampes as its new president and CEO of GE Healthcare Europe, effective 1 October.
Estrampes began her career at GE in France in 1988, holding business and marketing positions in the company's cardiology/interventional and CT divisions. In 1999, she moved to the U.S. with GE Capital in the position of general manager. In 2010, she returned to GE Healthcare and served as the general manager of Mid America. In 2013, Estrampes became the general manager for the U.S. and Canada. This year, she returned to Europe as the company's imaging leader.
Estrampes succeeds Jean-Michel Malbrancq. She will report to Kieran Murphy, GE Healthcare CEO.
