Radiation therapy company Varian Medical Systems has received an order from Helsinki University Hospital in Finland for four medical linear accelerators.
Varian will be delivering two Edge radiosurgery systems and two TrueBeam systems; three of the systems will be installed in new treatment rooms to add extra capacity and are scheduled to be placed in clinical use by the end of 2018, Varian said. The fourth system will replace an existing linear accelerator, according to the vendor.
