Siemens Healthineers is introducing its new robot-supported Artis pheno angiography system at this week's German Congress for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (DKOU).
Developed for use in minimally invasive surgery, interventional radiology, and interventional cardiology, the device features the company's zen40HDR flat-panel detector and Gigalix x-ray tube. The company said Artis pheno offers four times higher 2D imaging resolution than previous Siemens systems.
Siemens' StructureScout feature enables the system to adapt and optimize imaging parameters to best suit the material structure of the area being imaged, and as a result, radiation dose is lower compared with older systems from the manufacturer.
In addition, Artis pheno can support treatment of patients with multiple morbidities; optional software applications can be added to help deal with complex cases, the company said.
