Radiation oncology firm Elekta added to net sales, but posted lower net income in fiscal year 2016 (ending 29 April).
Net sales increased 4% to 11.2 billion krona (1.21 billion euros) in fiscal year 2016, compared with 10.8 billion krona (1.16 billion euros) in fiscal year 2015. Based on constant exchange rates, net sales in fiscal year 2015 decreased 3% compared with the previous fiscal year's results.
Net income decreased to 145 million krona (15.6 million euros) in fiscal 2016, compared with 558 million krona (60 million euros) in the previous fiscal year.
In the fiscal fourth quarter, net sales decreased 6% to 3.6 billion krona (39 million euros), compared with 3.8 billion krona (41 million euros) in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.
Net income also declined to 78 million krona (8.4 million euros) in fiscal 2016, compared with 343 million krona (37 million euros) in fiscal 2015.
Elekta declined to forecast future net sales outlook for fiscal year 2017.
