Belgian image management software developer DOBCO Medical Systems has released Homereading, a new feature for its PACSonWeb platform designed to facilitate image interpretation away from the hospital.
Via a zero-footprint image viewer on a computer or tablet, and a smartphone app for speech recognition, physicians can now diagnose any imaging study and produce a provisional study report using a smartphone and an Internet browser, according to the vendor. The report is then integrated into the hospital's customary workflow, DOBCO said.
