Agfa HealthCare has won a contract with two major academic hospitals in the Netherlands for a vendor-neutral archive (VNA) and an enterprise imaging workflow package, the company said.
The agreement is the result of collaboration between the Vrije Universiteit Medisch Centrum and the Academisch Medisch Centrum, both in Amsterdam, for implementing a new electronic health record. In a first step, Vrije Universiteit Medisch Centrum will install Agfa's Imaging Clinical Information System (ICIS) across more than 25 imaging departments, according to Agfa.
The two hospitals are spread over several sites. The Vrije Universiteit Medisch Centrum has 733 beds and 6,850 staff members, while the Academisch Medisch Centrum has 1,000 beds and 8,500 staff members. The facilities will incorporate ICIS's Connect, Workflow, Verify, VNA, and View components, Agfa said.
