Fujifilm Medical Systems has launched a new energy subtraction application for its digital radiography device, FDR AcSelerate, the company said.
The application makes use of the difference in x-ray absorption characteristics of bone and tissue, allowing clinicians to remove either overlying or underlying structures in an image, according to Fuji.
The application also includes Fujifilm's Multi-Stage Registration technology, which suppresses motion artifacts such as the patient's heartbeat and movement between exposures, Fuji said.
