Royal Philips Electronics, parent company of Philips Healthcare, and Isala klinieken, the largest nonacademic hospital in the Netherlands, have entered a multiyear-long clinical collaboration.
Philips Healthcare is equipping the nearly 1,000-bed hospital in Zwolle with the company's most advanced CT and MRI systems, ultrasound scanners, and patient monitoring systems. Philips also will provide consulting services relating to Isala klinieken's acquisition, use, and maintenance of medical equipment, as well as help improve its hospital care processes.
Additionally, Philips and Isala klinieken will invest in a joint research program relating to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
