Computer-aided detection (CAD) vendor iCAD has announced that the first European patients have been treated with its Xoft Axxent electronic brachytherapy system.
Pius-Hospital Oldenburg in Oldenburg, Germany and Hospital CUF Porto in Portugal were the first centers to use the system, iCAD revealed at this week's annual meeting of the European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO), taking place 9-13 May in Barcelona.
