Dell secures vendor-neutral archiving deal

Dell has announced its vendor-neutral archiving (VNA) technology has been added to the purchasing framework for National Health Service (NHS) trusts (or hospital groups), making it easier for U.K. hospitals to acquire the equipment.

The vendor is supplying VNA technology through the NHS Supply Chain Framework, covering vendor-neutral storage, data migration, and off-site storage. NHS trusts will now be able to purchase Dell equipment without the need for a complex tender process, according to the company.

Dell offers its Unified Clinical Archive (UCA) technology, which improves interoperability between healthcare information systems and clinical applications, the vendor stated.
