Contrast developer Guerbet has received 1 million euros of public funding from the France 2030 investment plan to support a project aimed at developing artificial intelligence (AI) software for early detection of pancreatic cancer.
Guerbet is working on AI technology to automatically analyze CT scans and alert radiologists when pancreatic cancer is suspected, even in the very first stages of the disease, according to the vendor. Furthermore, Guerbet said it's in discussion with clinical partners and that a large database has been assembled for the project. Certain French and international partnerships are also under discussion, the company said.
